South Florida Social Media Influencer Killed in Early Morning Drive-By Shooting

A popular social media influencer from South Florida was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting during the early hours of Sunday morning, according to law enforcement officials. The incident, which reportedly involved a triple shooting, occurred around 5:30 a.m., just hours after the conclusion of Fourth of July festivities, and was purportedly captured on surveillance footage.

The victim, identified as Johnson, was widely recognized for her engaging lifestyle and beauty content, amassing nearly 500,000 followers across her TikTok and Instagram platforms. Her TikTok account, operating under the handle _itgirlbri, boasted approximately 388,000 followers, while her Instagram presence drew roughly 88,800 followers.

Police reports indicate that Johnson was a passenger in a distinctive lime green Lamborghini Urus. As the high-end SUV approached an intersection, a white sedan reportedly pulled alongside the driver's side. Occupants of the sedan then opened fire, striking three individuals inside the Lamborghini.

Local media outlet WSVN obtained surveillance video that purportedly shows a light-colored sedan trailing the victims' Lamborghini down a street just before the gunfire erupted. Moments after the shooting, the Lamborghini was observed veering through the intersection before ultimately crashing into a nearby residence. The vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting then rapidly departed the scene.

Authorities were alerted to the violent event following multiple ShotSpotter notifications from the vicinity. Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss characterized the gunfire as rapid-fire, as reported by WSVN. Images circulating on social media platforms also appear to depict the Lamborghini heavily damaged, with numerous bullet holes riddling its doors.

Preceding Events Under Investigation

According to WSVN, the three individuals involved in the shooting had attended a sizable gathering at a nearby home prior to the incident. Sources close to the investigation informed the outlet that the group later made a stop at a gas station, where an altercation allegedly took place.

Investigators currently hypothesize that the luxury SUV carrying Johnson and her companions was subsequently targeted and pursued after the reported dispute.

Johnson tragically "succumbed to her injuries," as confirmed by police. The two other occupants of the vehicle, whose identities have not yet been publicly disclosed, were transported to a local hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
